I really wonder...if anyone can live on without having family and friends...
close friends...not the hi-bye/msn/colleague kinda friends (if they are even considered as friends)...

wouldn't life be much simpler if u needn't have to concern yourself with other people's happiness or woes...or bother what others would think of u...or having portray yourself under false images...wearing a perpetually unfading mask...itz getting tiring...

why do we have to always consider what others would feel of our response to what they say or do...but never the other way...(even towards strangers..)

why do humans seek attention and pity/sympathy/empathy/whatever u call it...
but what happens when we dun get the attention...or pity...?
and what happens when we observe others receiving as such...?
and what do we see of those who are seeking...?

it's getting tiresome...to the point where it'll soon not even matter anymore...and everything is done..just for the sake of doing it...yet still...

Ok...i've been lazy...

as an update to our december 2008 celebrations...well..
it went well for the earlier part...but maybe not so for the rest of the night...DUE TO THE PIGGIES WHO ATE, PLAYED, DRANK and SLEPT...lol...i guess i wasn't boozed enough...and i had nothing to do...~

the day started early afternoon...with a shopping spree at Parkway's Giant...lotsa beer...lotsa drinks...lotsa cabbages...or was it lettuces...and mushy rooms...anyway...

Jie makes up a mean Korean Pork BBQ thingy (only to find out later that its pork belly with table salt....)....and the fried rice after is uberlicious lor...~ and not forgetting the uberbly nice kim chi...and the crazy green chilli...ugh...

The day was young...we spent the afternoon at Jie's place chilling...Wii-ing...Facebooking...(We rule Geo-Challenge)...I helped by chopping up the mushrooms and peeling the lettuces or cabbage...yasi helped with washing them...jie and elma did most lah...HE CHI IS A CHANGED MAN LOR...lol...lazy to help le...hooked onto guitar heroes with CJ...i can't remember what Allan and Nee were doing upstairs...(oh...hmmz...what WERE they doing...)

oh..but the gameplay for the QnA wasn't really quite prepared...so we juz improvised and...asked a question...whoever knew the answers had to "buzz" in by making a weird sound and action...

i can't remember all..but maybe u guyz can remind me if u read this..haha...i can remember singnee going "WoOOOOO!!! HooOOoo!!!!"..and someone going "ahh ahh ahh ahh" (somehow think its CJ or Chi..)...and then theres someone going "pok pok pok pok pok"...waahaha...

but i figured how we can play the game le...all take turns...then all the questions will be put into a list le...so u get to choose a question number... =) keke...budden maybe not as fun...sometimes itz better when rules dun apply huh...

ok wait...now i got this feeling i got the sequence wrong...did we have the photoz first? or the QnA..hmmz...oh well...

after the games...everyone quite tired liaoz...(cept me)...cleared up some stuff...Allan and Si fell asleep...Nee said she still awake...(next moment lying on the sofa)...Chi and CJ still on guitar heroes...Jie wondered around...lol...

i got kinda pissed at first and went home.....but i think itz quite unfair to them lah...i mean...i'm kinda used to late nights so...i can't blame the rest for being tired or sleepy...

went for a trip to batam with my gf a couple of weekends back...juz a short 2d1n thing lah...
stayed at the Batam View Beach Resort...we got the 1 bedroom villa over there...itz $183/pax...sounds ex right?? budden i assure u itz money well spent...

the $183 includes Return ferry, 3 meals (buffet breakfast, buffet lunch, and a set dinner), transfer from ferry terminal to resort...normal rite? but the villa is...UBER NICE~

the unit i got was overlooking the sea...and by overlooking the sea...i dun mean up by the beach...go out from the living room to the balcony...look down...itz the sea!!! cept when itz low tide lah...

dun worry...photoz coming right up...wahahaha...


headed to the Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal at 9am..ferry's at 10am...


had to check in one hour before hand lor...


on the ferry...only 30-45 minutes ride...


oh yeah...customs in Batam slightly different...juz go there...look for the BVBR rep...give him ur passport...tell him what time is ur return ferry...settled~ they'll return ur passports with all the customs stuff done on the day of departure...~


on the bus...short 5-10minute bus ride to the resort...

Juz found out from SJ's blog, that his aunt passed away on 11th Sept. Condolences to him and his family...

the first time i ever experienced death in the family...
was in 1994...28th May...

My uncle was diagnosed with nose cancer, and passed away on that fateful day. At ten, i never really understood what death would mean to a family. As a kid, all i knew was that he's gone. And that his family would forever remember my birthday.

My grandmother passed away shortly after too...i can't remember the year...vaguely remember it as 94 or 96...
at that time...i felt wat it was like to have someone actually leave...my ah ma...who spent every weekend staying over at my place...in my room...telling me stories...even teaching me how to play mahjong...

my younger cousin asked me..."will u cry?" i said i didn't know...

my other grandma passed away in '99...i was never nice to her...i never really spoke to her either...i always felt that she had treated me unfairly...being more biased towards my brother...i was so wrong...during her last minutes...she called for both me and my brother... i couldn't say anything...all i could was to call her..."por por.."

when she left...i didn't know wat to say either...all i could do was sit at a corner...

funerals were held...5-7 days...but...ppl move on...far too quickly at times...
yearly visits to their resting places for the initial years...soon became sparse...to non-existence...

as with everything else...everyone moves on...
people let go...people forget...only a few suppressed the feelings...

Jie wants people to be happy...and merry during his funeral...
for me...i dun really know yet...probably not happy and merry...maybe...juz for ppl to miss my presence for awhile..ttz bout it...make them face the wall and contemplate my non-existence...

i can imagine the following ppl with their thoughts...

Congratulations to Mark 'n' Noreen, as well to Benjamin 'n' Enid....May you have a blissful marriage...!! both married on the same day...13th September 2008...

their wedding was kept simple and nice...
and my XiaoBai aka Kasuga, got to be a "sidekick" wedding car...haha..fetch the jie meiz...

They had thier customary stuff in the morning...followed by their wedding solemnization and lunch at M hotel...

was there for their solemnization...itz so nice man...like really...juz the two of them standing there...the solemnizer leading them in their vows...so surreal...
Noreen'z dresses looked great too...will post photoz up next day....the wedding lunch was a simple fare...but still nice nonetheless...

oh...the wedding suite is nice lor!! photoz akan datang k...they placed rose petalz to form the words 'Just Married'...the suite has an amazingly huge bathroom...with a jacuzzi!!!

so anyway...i attended their wedding dinner...at Swisstotel Stamford....

FUCKING AMAZING....

like...totally lah...itz really almsot a perfect wedding any one could want....

70 tables....ttz like 700 ppl...wonderful setting...the VIP table was grand...big stage...
multiple montages...frenz dedicating songs...to the couple...Tian Tian Ye Ye...a few english songs...Zhi Fei Ji...Yue Liang Dai Biao Wo De Xin...and the singers were good too...

erm..ok..yasi can sing during my wedding...and...nee...ur video is going up on the montage definately during YOUR wedding...WAHAHAHHAA....either that or u and si and chi perform during my wedding...WAHAHAHAHHAHAHA...

anyway...yeah...the bride, Enid...her gown is like uberbly long....like..really really long...
really kinda hard to describe the wedding...itz juz nice....

even the 9-course was like...woah....
come on...Sharksfin with shredded abalone....ABALONE...not crab!!! can u imagine that....
Veggiez with scallops...whole scallops..and like 5-6 scallops per serving...bao beiz...and baby abalone...woohoooo.....(i'm not a fan of abalone by the way...)

and the waiters were very professional...(cept the ones clearing the plates...) they actually introduce the courses....like..."Good evening, this is the first course of the evening, Cold dish etc etc..., your next course will be etc etc..., please enjoy your meal."...
for like every course...and end of the day also...

really good....

somehow..starting to make me worry bout my own wedding in like 2-3 years time...haha...
seems far right...budden time passes so quickly lor...

this trip was quite relaxing...the sea was like superbly calm...like a huge lake...
no waves...breezy...uberbly blue skies...amzaing sunrise...and sets....

the fishing was rather ok...i had a few giant cat fishes...biggest weighing at 11kg...
Advan caught the biggest...self-declared himself as the 2008 fishing champion...with a Corbia weighing in at 19kg....

i'm the 2007 champion...Grouper weighing at 15kg...zZzz...

slightly burnt too...oh well...

thing bout this trip is...i had so much time to think bout stuff....
and apparently....there's so many things i have in my mind...
